about

Feudalism is a type of government where a weak monarchy (emperor) tries to control an area of land through agreements with wealthy landholders.
Japanese history was a time when powerful families (daimyo) and the military power of warlords (shogun), and their warriors, the samurai ruled Japan.
In 1871, Emperor Meiji issued a decree abolishing both feudalism and clans.

Shinpuru brings you Feudal - With love from Edo taking inspiration from the music of Samurai Champloo and Cowboy Bebop also from the late Japanese Director Akira kurosawa who directed such classics (Seven Samurai).

The Edo Period lasted for nearly 260 years until the Meiji Restoration in 1868, when the Tokugawa Shogunate ended and imperial rule was restored.
